INTERNATIONAL ORGANISATIONS AND BUSINESS DIPLOMACY

This course tackles business diplomacy that is “diplomacy efforts” undertaken by private business organisation. Accordingly the course will also tackle the governance of international organisations. Students will learn the rationale behind and the practice of business diplomacy from a management perspective. The course will also take into account the economic context of digital transformation, the technology sector and reflect on the future of business diplomacy. Visits to relevant institutions will be included.

 

INTERNATIONAL DEVELOPMENT AND ECONOMIC ISSUES

This course tackles the main types of business support organisations (BSOs) including commercial diplomacy with a management/marketing approach in the context of international development and development cooperation. Students will learn the rationale behind business support organisations such as investment promotion agencies, export promotion organisations and chambers of commerce, etc. and their comprehensive systemic environment. The course will also take into account the economic and geopolitical context. Visits to relevant institutions will be included.

 

INTERNATIONAL RELATIONS MANAGEMENT

To understand the main issues and challenges of contemporary international relations in the context of globalization, this program will familiarize students with the evolution of the international society and the main concepts and theoretical approaches (Realism, Liberalism, Marxism) related to the analysis of international relations. Through this course, students will understand the role played by international organizations and classical actors such as States. Students will identify and analyze the rise and impact of new threats and new actors on the current international environment.
